SHAH ALAM, 21 Nov: The Selangor government is aware of the fire that took place at a house inhabited by 16 family members in Jalan Besar, Kampung Hulu Bernam, and will provide appropriate assistance to the families.
The Selangor Exco for Welfare, Dr Daroyah Alwi, said in a statement that assistance will be given as soon as possible after being informed by the District Office.
"I am aware. Information has been received from the District Officer and a visit will be conducted as soon as possible," she told Selangor Kini.
The fire resulted in the death of two family members; Muhamad Azuwanis Ghazali (20) and Muhamad Nur Arif.
In the meantime, the family is now living at the Kampung Hulu Bernam Community Centre.
