SHAH ALAM, Oct 2 — Three food premises at Medan Selera Taman Sri Serdang were ordered to close for 14 days following a cleanliness inspection by the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ).
MBSJ said the operation was carried out to ensure food premises operators complied with stipulated cleanliness requirements and regulations.
“The integrated operation involved MBSJ’s Health Department, Property Management and Valuation Department, Licensing Department and Enforcement Department, with the participation of MBSJ Zone 20 councillor Nursyaheera Abdul Ghafar.
“Following the inspection, three food premises were ordered to close immediately for 14 days due to non-compliance with the stipulated hygiene requirements,” MBSJ said in a Facebook post.
The council said the action reflected its commitment to ensuring that cleanliness and food safety are given priority while protecting the interests, health and well-being of the public.
“MBSJ will continue to conduct regular inspections and monitoring of food premises within its administrative area to ensure compliance with existing regulations and requirements,” it said.
