SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — The cost of living, rising commodity prices, and the people’s daily needs are areas that should be given priority in the upcoming 2027 Selangor Budget.

KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) managing director Dato’ Ramli Mohd Tahir expressed confidence that Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari would present a budget that takes into account both the people's needs and the state's development.

“Every year, I am confident that the Menteri Besar will craft a comprehensive budget covering all aspects including the needs, aspirations, and development of Selangor.

“We have gone through several engagement sessions and will also be providing input.

“Ultimately, we hope for a budget that is better than the previous year's, specifically addressing issues such as rising prices, diesel costs, commodity prices, and taxes,” he said.

Ramli was speaking after the strategic partnership agreement signing ceremony between KDEBWM and Caltex Malaysia at the Selangor International Trade Centre yesterday.

He added that KDEBWM will continue to support the state government in implementing plans that benefit the people.

“This is our state; we must provide strong support to the state government and the leadership of the Menteri Besar,” Ramli said.

He also hopes that the federal Budget 2027 will take the people's needs into consideration to ensure their welfare and livelihoods are secured.
