SHAH ALAM, Sept 20 — Twenty-nine units of unlicensed and unauthorised advertising signboards in Setia Alam were issued warning notices from Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to be removed immediately.

The action was taken during an enforcement operation in Section U13 yesterday.

The local authority said its Setia Alam branch conducted the operation to monitor advertising signboards without licenses or permits and ensure compliance with the MBSA Advertising By-Laws 2007.

“During the operation, MBSA identified 29 unlicensed and unauthorised advertising signboards and issued warning notices for them to be removed immediately.

“Most of the offences involved the installation of signboards on the road reserves without permission, as well as failure to comply with the prescribed specification.

“MBSA urges the owner of the signboards to take immediate action before further enforcement action is taken,” it said in a statement today.
