SUBANG, Aug 17 — Selangor bowler Adania Mohd Redzwan won the silver medal in the women’s singles ten-pin bowling event at the 2026 Malaysia Games (SUKMA) today.
Competing across six games, she had a slow start which saw her trail behind the leading pack early in the competition.
However, the home player steadily regained her position in the following games, particularly in the final round as she attempted to challenge for the top spot.
Adania’s comeback was not enough to secure gold, as she finished with 1,306 pinfalls, 38 pins behind the champion.
The closely contested action at Mega Lanes Sunway saw Perlis pull off a surprise, with two of its representatives finishing among the top three.
Perlis, represented by Nurul Aisyah Salleh, secured the gold medal, while Nur Alya Qaisara Noor Fazemil claimed bronze with 1,287 pinfalls.
Aisyah’s victory also made history as she became the first Perlis bowler to win a SUKMA gold medal in ten-pin bowling.
