MBDK uncovers unlicensed businesses in Taman Sri Andalas

SHAH ALAM, July 20 — The Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) has acted against several businesses in Taman Sri Andalas for premises licensing and regulatory offences during a raid on Saturday morning.

MBDK said the several premises were operating without business licences, while others were selling liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders beyond the permitted limit without a licence and obstructing public walkways.

“The MBDK Licensing and Enforcement Departments have carried out an inspection on business premises on Jalan Sri Sarawak 19, Taman Sri Andalas, Klang.

“Eight premises were inspected, comprising grocery stores, barber shops, eateries, herbal shops and a mini market,” it said in a Facebook post today.

MBDK said it issued five seizure notices and five compounds during the raid, which was conducted in a smooth and controlled manner.

“The operation was carried out smoothly and will continue on an ongoing basis to ensure all business activities are in line with stipulated licensing conditions and regulations for Klang residents’ well-being and safety,” MBDK added.
