SHAH ALAM, June 24 — Issues relating to public facilities and cleanliness were among the concerns raised by residents during the recent Kota Kemuning state constituency outreach programme in Putra Heights.
Kota Kemuning state assemblyman Preakas Sampunathan said he conducted a site visit to assess conditions in Putra Avenue Sectors A and B and the Putra Crest area, while gathering feedback from local residents.
The visit provided an opportunity to identify various issues that require the attention of the relevant authorities to improve community well-being.
“Among the main issues raised were poorly maintained pedestrian facilities, damaged park amenities, and irregular solid waste collection management,” he said in a Facebook post.
Residents also expressed concern over open spaces that receive insufficient monitoring and maintenance, resulting in overgrown grass and weeds.
“Open spaces that are not properly monitored have the potential to become habitats for wildlife, which could pose a threat to residents’ safety,” Preakas said.
He added that all complaints and feedback received will be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities for appropriate action to safeguard the well-being and quality of life of residents.
