KLANG, June 18 — Fraser and Neave Holdings Bhd’s (F&N) dairy manufacturing facility in Pulau Indah has emerged as a key investment and exports hub, producing dairy and beverage products for Malaysia and 45 international markets while generating significant economic benefits for Selangor.
Its Foods and Industry Engagement managing director Datuk Raffiq Mohammad Ariff said the facility supports the local economy through employment opportunities, supply chain activities, and annual spending of millions of ringgit on raw materials.
The facility’s strategic location near Westports and key logistics networks enables efficient distribution across domestic and international markets.
“Products produced at this facility are not only enjoyed by Malaysians but are also exported to 45 countries covering ASEAN, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and Central America,” he said in his speech in conjunction with Invest Selangor Bhd’s ‘Royal Patron Programme with Industry’ at F&N Dairies Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, Pulau Indah today.
The visit was led by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, accompanied by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Raffiq added that F&N’s RM370 million investment in the Pulau Indah facility, which manufactures a wide range of dairy and beverage products, including sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, dairy creamer, and ready-to-drink beverages, reflects F&N’s confidence in Selangor as a strategic manufacturing and export base.

“Beyond providing job opportunities for local communities, our operations also support a wide supply chain involving suppliers, distributors and various supporting industries nationwide,” he said.
Raffiq noted that the company injects more than RM200 million annually into the local economy by procuring key raw materials such as sugar and palm oil, with its palm oil purchases alone supporting up to 500 smallholders.
F&N products, particularly its condensed milk range, have achieved more than 60 per cent household penetration in Malaysia, reflecting strong consumer trust in the brand.
He said the facility will continue to play a key role in supporting Malaysia’s food security agenda and in strengthening the dairy industry through flexible, large-scale production capabilities.
Meanwhile, Raffiq said His Highness’ visit to the facility is a continuation of long-standing royal ties that have supported the company’s development in Selangor over several decades.
The relationship dates back to 1997 when the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj visited F&N’s soft drinks plant in Shah Alam, followed by the official opening of the Pulau Indah dairy plant by His Royal Highness’ successor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj in 2013.
“Today, we are deeply honoured that the Raja Muda Selangor continues this legacy through his visit to the same facility.
“This reflects a strong and continuous relationship between the Selangor Royal Institution and F&N throughout our journey in developing the food and beverage industry in this state,” he said.
