KLANG, April 19 — Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, plans to coordinate various aid programmes under the RM131 million Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package via an all-in-one app called NINE.
Yayasan MBI chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the foundation is prepared to help relevant departments channel other aid such as Kita Selangor vouchers and public transport fare subsidies through the app developed by the agency.
“Aid like Kita Selangor vouchers isn’t under Yayasan MBI’s purview, but we also have a food basket programme that can be jointly coordinated.
“We can work together using NINE… how to help agencies choose eligible recipients with data on this app,” he said when met at the Jalan Belimbing bridge opening ceremony in Kapar yesterday.
On the app, users may manage parking fees, access local authority services, and use public transport facilities, among others.
Azri added that the foundation will look into the entire stimulus package, especially the Platform Selangor (PLATS) programme, which is under Yayasan MBI’s purview.
“Our priority is to help entrepreneurs on the existing PLATS programme to ensure they remain resilient,” he added.

On Thursday, Amirudin announced the RM131 million Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package to help the state face the effects of the West Asia geopolitical crisis that has pressured the economy and living costs globally.
The package’s first phase, which starts in June, focuses on matters closest to the people such as strengthening food supply and controlling inflation.
According to Amirudin, the package uses allocations under the 2026 Selangor Budget to ensure targeted aid for vulnerable groups.
Meanwhile, Jalan Belimbing residents in Kapar can enjoy safer passage across the river with the completion of a new bridge rebuilt with RM150,000 from Yayasan MBI.
The old one collapsed in massive floods.
Azri said the reconstruction project was supplemented with RM20,000 to RM30,000 in funds from the Meru state constituency service centre.
“In November 2024, a bridge built by residents was destroyed in massive floods, so Yayasan MBI tried to help… Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari also asked me to resolve this issue.
“This bridge can be used by various vehicles including school vans and fire engines, facilitating daily routines and improving community safety,” he added.
Azri also expressed his thanks to Meru assemblyman Marian Abdul Rashid for coordinating the effort with Yayasan MBI.
