SHAH ALAM, March 15 — The organisation of Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026 has been described as one of the best platforms for small entrepreneurs to introduce their products to the public, while expanding their businesses to a higher level.

Ready-to-eat sambal supplier and producer Raja Nor Baizura Raja Idris, 40, said her participation in the festival provides entrepreneurs like her with opportunities to broaden their market reach, as they previously operated mainly online.

The business she started in 2023 is participating in the festival for the second time, after it proved effective in introducing products to customers.

“Through programmes like this, I can also reactivate offline sales and interact directly with customers,” Baizura told Media Selangor during Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026 at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam recently.

She encouraged more small entrepreneurs to seize the opportunity to participate in such festivals to further grow their respective businesses.

Meanwhile, Juriah Julaihi from Lentooq Malaysia, representing Kedai Melissa (M) Sdn Bhd, said the company made full use of its first participation in the festival for promotional purposes and to attract new customers.

The company offers various bedding products, such as organic bed sheets and pillows, with special promotions throughout the festival.

“Events like this are very beneficial because they provide opportunities for entrepreneurs in Selangor to promote their products. The public is invited to come to this festival as many items are on sale with worthwhile discounts,” she said.

For young entrepreneur Nurul Athirah Azhar, 23, who sells HVC Merchandise, the festival offers traders an opportunity to introduce new designs to customers each year.

Her second participation in the Selangor Havoc Raya Fest has also proven successful, as evidenced by encouraging customer response, with some making repeat purchases.

“Every year we release new designs, and there are customers who return to buy again. This festival is also attractive because it runs for 96 hours non-stop, making it convenient for the public to shop in preparation for (Hari Raya) Aidilfitri.

“Indeed, there are also various exciting activities, such as lucky draws, that add to the lively atmosphere for visitors,” Athirah said.

During the event, the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin graced the festival with her presence. Her Royal Highness was received by the state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi, who also took part in the festival’s opening ceremony.

The Tengku Permaisuri's presence brought cheer to traders and visitors attending the festival, which runs continuously for 96 hours from Thursday (March 12) to Monday (March 16).
