SHAH ALAM, Dec 30 — For the upcoming Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026, 30 selected entrepreneurs will be provided with free business spaces to help expand their market reach and increase public exposure for local products.
State executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said the initiative is being continued following the success of last year’s edition, which demonstrated the festival’s effectiveness as a high-impact business development platform.
“During last year’s event, the 30 Selangor entrepreneurs involved recorded total transactions exceeding RM500,000 within just four days.
“This shows the great potential of platforms such as Havoc Raya Fest in helping state entrepreneurs boost sales and market exposure,” he said at a press conference during the launch of the Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026 yesterday.
For next year, the selection of entrepreneurs will be conducted through a rigorous screening process based on business potential, product prospects, and market readiness.
Najwan added that priority will be given to entrepreneurs involved in state development and training programmes, including those under the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), the Selangor Platform (PLATS), and the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).
“We will ensure that selected entrepreneurs come from across the state, not just concentrated in one district or area. We have nine districts and 12 local authorities, so we will strive to include all of them.
“We do not only want to empower existing entrepreneurs, but also open opportunities for new entrepreneurs to start businesses and promote their products. This festival serves as an important platform for building brands and market networks,” he said.
The Selangor Havoc Raya Fest 2026 is scheduled to run non-stop for 96 hours at the Setia City Convention Centre in Setia Alam, from March 12 to March 16.
Organised by the State Standing Committee on Entrepreneur Development in collaboration with Havoc Event and Management Sdn Bhd, the festival marks its second year, in line with ongoing efforts to support local entrepreneurship development and strengthen the community economy in Selangor.
Themed 'Havoc-nya Raya di Kampung!', the festival combines traditional and modern elements to create a festive Hari Raya Aidilfitri atmosphere that is nostalgic, vibrant, and family-friendly.
With over 350 vendors participating, the festival will feature a wide range of sales booths, fast-breaking bazaars, and happy-hour promotions for visitors.
In addition, various interactive activities will be offered, including stage performances, appearances by artistes and influencers, children’s activities, religious programmes, and lucky draws with attractive prizes, including a car as the grand prize.
