KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — The Selangor Techsphere Summit 2025 serves as a premier platform for local companies to showcase their latest technological innovations while creating more opportunities for skilled workforce development in Selangor.
Feiran Technology Sdn Bhd senior technical manager Nik Mahmood Farid Nik Yusof said his company’s participation aims to introduce new technologies in design and manufacturing simulation that can reduce both product development costs and time.
“We focus on the use of Dassault's systems for design and simulation in the aerospace sector. This technology allows testing to be conducted virtually without the need for physical prototypes, significantly cutting development costs and time,” he told Media Selangor.
Mahmood added that the state government’s initiative in organising the summit has had a significant impact on local technological advancement, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI).
“We also hope to share our expertise in AI-based design development, and this initiative should be continued annually to encourage greater industry collaboration,” he said.
RA Integration Links Sdn Bhd (Rail SB) chief executive officer Asdahrizam Alias said his company’s participation provided an opportunity to highlight its role in Malaysia’s rail industry, which has long operated behind the scenes.
“We are involved in maintenance and refurbishment work for Ampang Line trains in collaboration with Prasarana. To date, 20 train sets have been fully refurbished, while another 30 are in progress.
“Many local workers have benefited through training and exposure to high-skill work in this industry,” he said.
Asdahrizam noted that his company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Selangor Technical and Development Centre (STDC) to supply skilled students for the rail sector, in line with the state government’s efforts to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
“Malaysia currently faces a shortage of around 30,000 skilled workers in the rail industry. Through collaboration with STDC, we can help shape the direction of this sector while providing opportunities for Selangor residents to enter this field,” he said.
Selangor made history as the first state government in Malaysia to host an international-level technology event — the Selangor Techsphere Summit — with the official support of renowned global trade exhibition Hannover Messe.
Held till today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the Selangor Techsphere Summit aims to strengthen the state's position as a leading technology and talent hub in Southeast Asia.
