BATU CAVES, SEP 22: The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) demolished a squatter house built in Taman Ekstrem Gua Damai, on September 20.
MPS Special Unit Head C Paramasivam said the house was believed to be occupied by foreigners for the last few months.
According to him, another site under construction was also cleaned-up in the operation.
“This is the second demolition in the same area. The land belongs to the government and is planned for tourism development in that area.
“Demolition followed procedures and the squatter was given the opportunity to remove personal belongings before enforcement was implemented,” reported Sinar Harian.
