SHAH ALAM, Nov 5 — Downpours this afternoon caused flash floods in several areas in Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor.
Among the areas affected are Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam, Saujana Utama, Taman Hillpark, Taman Seri Alam, and several other neighbourhoods.
A sweep on Threads revealed users sharing photos and videos of standstill traffic on several inundated roads.
Threads user @thisiswuan shared a video of the Taman Hillpark retention pond overflowing, while @fizaabdullah said UiTM Puncak Alam’s Gates 1 and 3 were closed due to the floods, with entry only available through Gate 2 on Jalan Meru.
Meanwhile, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar said rescuers from the Bestari Jaya Fire and Rescue Station have been sent to Taman Seri Alam to evacuate residents.
