SHAH ALAM, Oct 26 — All Pakatan Harapan campaign machinery in Melaka has been urged to strengthen its grassroots efforts and engage more closely with the public ahead of the 16th Melaka State Election (PRN).
Its election director Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said every campaign team must understand the people’s needs and communicate the coalition’s offers clearly and tactfully.
The coalition’s fighting spirit must be translated into hard work in every constituency it contests to achieve its target of winning more seats in the election.
“To all campaign teams, strengthen your grassroots efforts, understand the pulse of the people, and communicate Pakatan Harapan’s offers clearly and tactfully.
“Our fighting spirit must be translated into hard work in every constituency we contest,” he said in a Facebook post last night.
Amirudin, who is also the Selangor Menteri Besar, made the remarks after attending Harapan Melaka’s candidate announcement and election machinery launch at Hang Jebat Stadium in Krubong.
During the event, Harapan chairman Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the 21 candidates who will contest in the 16th Melaka State Election.
Of the total, nine candidates will represent Parti Keadilan Rakyat, seven will represent DAP, and five will represent Parti Amanah Negara.
Amirudin added that Harapan aims to win more seats so the coalition can lead the Melaka state administration.
“We want to win more seats to lead the future of Melaka. Pakatan Harapan is contesting in Melaka with an offer of leadership that is principled, close to the people, and committed to honestly championing their welfare,” he said.
