SUBANG JAYA, Oct 24 — The Selangor Metamorphosis (MetaSEL) Hub has become an integrated one-stop centre to support innovation management and data sharing, especially in the public sector, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said this has strengthened administrative processes, with MetaSEL Hub encompassing the entire innovation process from problem identification and idea generation to solution development and implementation after knowledge sharing and innovation expansion.
“MetaSEL Hub isn’t just a name or platform, but a symbol of the state’s readiness to change, learn and improve the way we work. This change must be translated through real action, close cooperation and better service delivery to the people,” he said at the MetaSEL Appreciation Ceremony, held during the Selangor State Innovation Awards (AINS), at Hilton Shah Alam Glenmarie last night.
Also present was state executive councillor for Islam and innovation Dr Fahmi Ngah.
Amirudin added that the use of MetaSEL Hub in organising AINS this year, from project registration to assessment, proves the digital platform’s ability to support innovation management in a more systematic and integrated manner.
Launched in October last year, MetaSEL Hub gathers Selangor’s innovation ecosystems on one platform, boosting the state’s competitiveness as a main innovation hub in Malaysia and the region.
Amirudin called the initiative part of Selangor’s transition to a smarter, more sustainable future by linking the physical world to the digital and building a stronger innovation ecosystem.
