SHAH ALAM, Sept 18 — Six trailers were towed by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) during an integrated heavy vehicle towing operation around Persiaran Sepang and Sections 27 and 28 here on Wednesday.

The operation, conducted jointly with the police and Road Transport Department (JPJ), was aimed at ensuring compliance with the law and tackling the problem of heavy vehicles being parked in prohibited areas.

MBSA said in a Facebook post that all six trailers were towed to its towing depots in Sections 17 and 31.

“This operation is part of MBSA’s efforts to ensure compliance with regulations, as well as the safety and smooth flow of traffic in the affected areas.

“MBSA will continue to intensify integrated enforcement operations and advises heavy vehicle owners and drivers to comply with the regulations and refrain from parking in prohibited areas,” it said.

During the operation, JPJ also issued eight compound notices, while police issued five compounds for various offences detected.

The operation was led by MBSA enforcement officer Rozaidi Ahmat and also involved MBSA councillor and Zone 10 Residents’ Representative Council chairman Wan Shaharuddin Shah Ismail.
