SHAH ALAM, Sept 15 — The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) seized an excavator and a Roro lorry during an operation against illegal waste dumping at two locations on September 12.
The operation, conducted by MPKS’ Enforcement Department and Health and Environment Department, took place at Rentak Perdana in Bandar Puncak Alam and Kampung Sri Aman in Ijok.
According to MPKS, the excavator was seized at Rentak Perdana after it was found to have been used for illegal waste dumping.
“At the same time, the MPKS Health and Environment Department assisted in facilitating the operation, including providing logistical support and a loader lorry for the seizure of the machinery,” it said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, MPKS said an inspection at Kampung Sri Aman also resulted in several enforcement actions, including the issuance of a compound.
“A compound was issued for the offence of disposing of waste at a location not authorised by the council under the Refuse Collection, Removal and Disposal By-Laws (MDKS) 2007,” it said.

MPKS said a Notice Requiring Nuisance to be Abated was also issued, while a Roro lorry was seized over its suspected involvement in illegal waste dumping at the location.
“Overall, two seizures were made, while one compound and one enforcement notice were issued following the operations at both locations,” it said.
MPKS said monitoring and enforcement would be intensified, with stern action to be taken against those who dump waste at unauthorised locations.
