SHAH ALAM, Oct 10: The Kuala Selangor District and Land Office (PDTKS) has issued a notice to the landowner at Rentak Perdana, Puncak Alam, requiring the illegal dumping site to be restored to its original condition.
Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) Corporate, Tourism, and Public Relations Unit said the 'Notice 7A' is one of the firm measures being taken to address illegal dumping at the location.
“Follow-up action against the landowner falls under the jurisdiction of PDTKS through the issuance of Notice 7A, aimed at land remediation and restoring the land to its original state.
“To prevent a recurrence, MPKS has also dug a trench to block the access route to the site, ensuring that lorries and machinery cannot continue illegal dumping activities.
“As an additional measure, 'no dumping' warning tape has been installed at the entrance,” the council told Media Selangor.
During an enforcement operation on September 12, MPKS seized an excavator and issued a compound fine to its owner.
MPKS said it is continuously monitoring and enforcing to identify and take action against parties involved in illegal dumping.
At the same time, MPKS is collaborating with PDTKS to obtain landowner details, enabling further action under applicable laws.
The MPKS Enforcement Department will continue to monitor the site periodically to ensure illegal dumping activities do not recur.
MPKS also pledged to continue cooperating with relevant agencies to combat these activities, thereby safeguarding the cleanliness, safety, and well-being of local residents.
