SHAH ALAM, Sept 14 — Five offence notices were issued by the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) after illegal dumping activities were detected through closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the Jalan Haji Amin reserve in Kampung Labohan Dagang.

The action was taken by MPKL’s Solid Waste Management and Environmental Health Department through CCTV monitoring and enforcement operations at the location.

According to MPKL, all five notices were issued for dumping waste in a public area under By-law 3(a) of the MDKL Prevention of Nuisance By-Laws (MDKL) 1994, it said in a statement on Facebook.

The council stressed that dumping waste at the reserve is an offence that may result in enforcement action.

It also urged the public to play their part in maintaining the cleanliness of public areas to ensure Kuala Langat remains clean, safe and comfortable.
