SHAH ALAM, Sept 5 — Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS) members born in July, August and September 2008 should submit their Phase 3 benefit claims by September 14, said Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS).
It urged members who haven’t submitted their claim to do so early to ensure their applications can be processed this phase.
“Do not wait until the last minute. Submit your claim application immediately to ensure it can be processed under Phase 3,” the foundation said in a Facebook post.
According to YAWAS, payouts for Phase 3 applicants will be disbursed from September 15 to 30.
It advised members to check their eligibility and submit applications on the TAWAS online portal.
TAWAS was introduced in 2008 as a long-term benefit for Selangor-born children.
Under the scheme, members are eligible to receive payouts upon turning 18, with the 2008 cohort starting to receive payments this year.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said TAWAS reflects the state government’s commitment to empowering the younger generation and helping secure a more stable start in life for the children of Selangor.
