
SHAH ALAM, Aug 24 — The curtain closed on Selangor’s SUKMA campaign with a sweet victory from the silambam camp, which earned the state its last gold today.
Venisha Saravanan, Sasmita Ravi, Roselynn Anuska Devit Raj, Sharvienrajh Selvam, and Preteish Anbucelvan took top spot in the mixed team synchronised bare hand event at MBSJ Stadium in Serdang.
The quintet defeated Perak and Terengganu, which took silver and bronze, respectively.
The state’s gold medal was a meaningful one as it is Selangor’s last one this SUKMA.
Meanwhile, Selangor, through Dharani Shanmugam, Kiranjenifeer Danchill, Sanjay Sivabalan, Sarveshaa Murali, and Sriraj Sankaran took silver in the mixed team synchronised weapon event.
