SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — Kapar Hospital, whose construction project received an RM831 million allocation, will be completed on March 26 next year, said the Health Ministry (MOH).
In a Facebook post on Friday, MOH said the progress of the 312-bed facility is satisfactory and approaching completion deadlines.
MOH secretary-general Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad visited the site on Friday to monitor the project’s progress, where he was briefed by the Public Works Department (JKR) and Selangor Health Department (JKNS) on the project.
“This visit was to allow the ministry to comprehensively survey the project progress status, identify developing issues, and coordinate follow-up action between all quarters,” read MOH’s Facebook statement.
Also present during the site visit were MOH health (medicine) director-general Dato’ Dr Mohd Azman Yacob and Selangor health director Dr Ummi Kalthom Shamsudin.
MOH said the briefing focused on current project developments and the need for additional funds.
“Appintments to support human resources plans before the hospital starts operating, as well as equipment procurement, was also discussed.
“This is to ensure Kapar Hospital’s operational readiness is according to plan,” MOH said.
