SHAH ALAM, June 10 — The Kapar Hospital project is expected to be completed by March next year, which will provide thousands of residents in and around Kapar with improved access to public healthcare.
Meru assemblyman Mariam Abdul Rashid said she was informed of the project’s progress during a site visit on Monday to ensure the development remains on schedule and complies with the required specifications.
“God willing, the hospital is expected to be completed by March 2027,” she said in a Facebook post yesterday. “The community around Kapar, especially in Meru, would certainly be relieved and happy with the progress of this hospital project, which is nearly done.”

Mariam added that the project reflects the Madani Government’s commitment to strengthening public healthcare and providing better medical facilities.
“A public healthcare facility (for the Kapar area) has been long awaited because the nearby hospital can no longer accommodate (more) patients seeking services and treatment,” Mariam said, citing significant growth in the local population over the past few years.
The Kapar Hospital site visit was led by the Public Works Department (JKR). Also present were Klang District Officer Amri Ismail and representatives from the Health Ministry (MOH), Klang Royal City Council (MBDK), and main developer IJM Corporation Bhd.
