SHAH ALAM, July 30 — Dato’ Mohd Yazid Sairi has been appointed as Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Mayor, while Dato’ Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim has been appointed as the Selangor Deputy State Secretary (Management).
Both will assume their respective posts effective August 3, 2026.
Prior to the appointment, Yazid served as the Deputy State Secretary (Management).
Meanwhile, Amri Ismail was appointed as Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) president, effective August 1.
The appointment letters were presented by Selangor State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin at a ceremony held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building here yesterday.
The announcement of the appointments was also posted on the official Facebook account of the Selangor State Government.
“Congratulations and best wishes in carrying out your duties,” the post stated.
