SHAH ALAM, July 29 — Two food premises in Sungai Besar have been ordered to close for 14 days after failing to meet hygiene standards during the Sabak Bernam District Council's (MDSB) ‘Ops Bersih Premis Makanan’ yesterday.

MDSB said five compounds were also issued for various offences after inspections were carried out at six food premises. Enforcement action was taken under the Food Establishments (Sabak Bernam District Council) By-Laws 2007.

"The enforcement operation aims to ensure all food premises remain clean and safe for customers and traders.

"MDSB is committed to carrying out inspections and monitoring food premises to safeguard public health and well-being.

"The operation, conducted by the Health and Environmental Services Department and the Enforcement Department, was also joined by Mohd Azreen Ariffin and began at 4 pm until completion," it said in a Facebook post.

The local authority also urged members of the public to report any dirty or unsafe food premises to MDSB.
