ONE month since its launch, the Shah Alam LRT3 line has steadily gained traction among commuters, with more residents relying on the service to get to work, school, and shops. The new route has not only reduced travel time, but also provided a more convenient and comfortable alternative for those who previously depended on private vehicles.
Surveys at several stations along the line found that passenger numbers are consistent, especially during peak hours. Modern facilities such as lifts, escalators, parking lots, pedestrian walkways and feeder buses have made commuting more seamless, while improving the accessibility and overall convenience of public transport across Shah Alam and its surroundings.
The LRT3 has also generated positive spillover effects for nearby communities by making them more accessible to visitors. The growing number of public transport users has helped stimulate local economic activity, as food outlets, convenience stores and small businesses experience an increase in customer traffic driven by higher footfall.

His snapshots of commuters waiting at the platforms, inside train carriages and around the stations reflect the evolving landscape of urban mobility and illustrate how the LRT3 is gradually becoming part of everyday life, towards a public transport system that is more efficient, comfortable and sustainable.
