Aneka Walk gathers football fans for World Cup finale screening

FOOTBALL fans thronged Aneka Walk in Shah Alam on July 19 to catch the World Cup finale — a showdown between Spain and Argentina — with a 12-hour event for the occasion.

The PKNS Homes Final World Cup 2026 Mega Live drew thousands of people from as early as afternoon last Sunday to experience the thrill of the final match, televised on a giant screen.

The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) event featured various attractions throughout the 12 hours, including e-sports tournaments, interactive games, and a diverse range of food and drink stalls, making Aneka Walk merrier and a lifestyle destination for Shah Alam residents.

Excitement reached new heights with the arrival of several Selangor FC players, who held meet-and-greets with fans young and old and posed for photos.

For the main event, fans settled into bean bags in front of a giant screen to catch the Spain-Argentina showdown, with shouts and chants echoing throughout the match as fans of the world’s most popular sport connected through a common interest. Flags, jerseys and face paint coloured the night at Aneka Walk as fans rode the ups and downs that ultimately resulted in Spain clinching the world title.
