JobCare Selangor carnival offers drone pilot jobs

KUALA SELANGOR, July 11 — Drone operator Aeros Geotech Sdn Bhd is offering job opportunities as drone pilots to individuals without skills certificates or prior experience in the field.

Its Bagan Serai branch manager Hamizar Rahim said successful candidates will be provided with training until they become proficient in operating drones before being assigned to the company’s operational sites.

“We are in Kuala Selangor to open opportunities for people nationwide to join the company as drone pilots. Our operations are not only in Perak but also cover Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.

“The company is expanding and requires more manpower, especially men who are interested in pursuing a career in the drone industry in line with technological advancements.

“The minimum qualification is a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). Those with Malaysian Skills Certificates are also encouraged to apply. Even without experience, we will provide basic training until they are able to operate drones effectively,” he told Media Selangor.

He said this when met at the JobCare Selanger Career Carnival held at Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) here today.

Meanwhile, Hartalega NGC Human Resources manager Mohamad Nasrun Afiq Abdul Halim said the glove manufacturing company is currently seeking more technicians to operate machinery and support maintenance operations.

“We have participated in the JobCare carnival several times, and this time we are focusing on recruiting technicians as there is a high demand for manpower in machine maintenance and operations.

“For candidates who live outside the Sepang area, the company also provides hostel facilities,” he said.

A total 28 companies offered about 4,000 job vacancies at the Kuala Selangor leg of the JobCare carnival.

Previously, it was reported that the Selangor government plans to organise nine JobCare carnivals this year, beginning in Kuala Langat, to expand employment opportunities for Selangor residents.

The carnival aims to provide up to 40,000 job opportunities across various sectors, while featuring two main segments, JobCare Istimewa and JobCare Premium.

When tabling the 2026 Selangor Budget last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the carnival would be further strengthened this year through certification and skills development programmes.
