KUALA SELANGOR, July 11 — More than 10,000 job opportunities, including professional positions with salaries of up to RM5,000, have been offered through the JobCare Selangor Roadshow Carnival since April.
Employment Insurance System case manager Aaron Davidraj said the Kuala Selangor leg of the roadshow today featured 28 companies offering 4,000 vacancies across the services, retail and professional sectors.
“The vacancies offered are tailored according to the demographics and profiles of job seekers. We bring companies to them while also aligning with market needs. We are targeting more than 200 attendees for interview sessions today.
“Overall, throughout the organisation of this carnival, there have been 10,000 job opportunities offered, and we believe the number will increase in future editions,” he said when met at the carnival held at the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) here today.
Previously, it was reported that the Selangor government plans to organise nine JobCare Selangor Roadshow Carnival this year, beginning in Kuala Langat, as part of efforts to expand access to employment opportunities for residents.
The carnival aims to offer up to 40,000 job opportunities across various sectors, while featuring two main segments, JobCare Istimewa and JobCare Premium.
Previously, when tabling the 2026 Selangor Budget, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the roadshow carnival would be enhanced to include certification and skills development programmes.
He said RM1 million had been allocated to implement the initiative as part of efforts to address unemployment issues.
