SHAH ALAM, July 7 — Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP) in the Pandamaran state constituency will prioritise upgrading places of worship, public playing fields, and low-cost apartment complexes to enhance residents' well-being.

Its state assemblyman Tony Leong Tuck Chee said repainting works for the Sri Bayu and Sri Angkasa low-cost apartment complexes are also among the key projects to be implemented under the initiative.

PSP's implementation has significantly improved residents' well-being while making the delivery of assistance more efficient, as the application and approval process is much faster than before.

“The assistance process under the PSP is simpler and quicker. Applications are usually processed within two to three months, depending on the type of request.

“We currently have nine applications under the PSP that will be assessed based on current needs and the available allocation,” he told Media Selangor.

Leong added that the proposals received include constructing a sepak takraw court to meet the needs of the local community, as well as continued improvements to public amenities, such as the motorcycle parking facilities already provided.

On June 19, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari announced a RM14 million allocation to strengthen public facilities through PSP under the Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package Phase Two.

He said the initiative also includes repainting apartment buildings more than 15 years old that require maintenance and upgrades to improve residents' comfort and the quality of their living environment.

Previously, state executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah said that priority would be given to areas that have yet to benefit from the PSP or the CERIA Scheme.

This would not only enhance the appearance of residential areas but also improve the comfort of residents living in apartment blocks requiring maintenance and upgrading.
