SHAH ALAM, June 25 — Several roads in Subang Jaya residential areas are being repaved with a RM3.5 million allocation under the Malaysian Road Records Information System (MARRIS), said Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze.
She added that works have started in approved locations and will continue in stages.
“Subang Jaya is a wide area with ageing infrastructure that needs continuous maintenance in various neighbourhoods.
“Even though not all roads can be repaved in a year, efforts will continue with the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) and concerned agencies to obtain additional allocations and prioritise areas that need the most attention,” she said in a Facebook post yesterday.
According to Ng, repaving is being done in several USJ neighbourhoods.
“Among areas involved are part of the USJ 3A residential area with an allocation of RM755,210.34, USJ 3C with RM712,644.67, and USJ 3B and 3D with a cost of RM784,683.33.
“The USJ 22 area received the largest allocation of RM865,469.58, while USJ 19 received RM381,992.06 for road repaving,” she added.
She also expressed gratitude to residents who channel complaints and feedback on road conditions and public facilities in their neighbourhoods.
“Thank you to all residents who continue to give us feedback and interact constructively with our service centre.
“Residents’ patience and cooperation are very helpful in identifying maintenance priorities and improving service quality for the local community,” Ng said.
