PETALING JAYA, June 21 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) now provides 32 online services to make it easier for residents within its administrative area to access a wide range of facilities more quickly, conveniently, and efficiently.
Mayor Dato' Mohamad Zahri Samingon said the services offered cover a range of matters, including assessment tax payments, planning and building control, licences and permits, public amenities, and property enquiries.
“MBPJ remains committed to continuously enhancing the quality of municipal service delivery through the digitalisation of systems and services.
“Technology is not merely a symbol of modernity, but also a catalyst for public well-being and sustainable urban development,” he said.

Zahri was speaking at the opening ceremony of the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Petaling Jaya City, which was officiated by state executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah yesterday.
Held under the theme 'PJ: The Happiest and Most Sustainable City', this year’s celebration also offered various benefits to city residents, including free parking and complimentary access to sports facilities such as swimming pools and sports fields on June 20.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the evening’s celebrations was a parade competition involving approximately 600 participants from 15 contingents representing both the public and private sectors.
A variety of activities were also organised to enliven the celebration, including performances by popular artistes, including Shidi Data, Naim Daniel, Thalita, and Ernie Zakri.
