SEPANG, June 10 — Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah today paid a visit to Kebun Bandar@Cyberjaya, which was designed with an agro-education and agrotourism concept, during the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor (GRS) 2.0 tour here today.
During the hour-long visit, His Highness joined various activities that centred rural life, including threshing padi, releasing ducks into a pond, and feeding ducks and geese.
The prince also visited padi fields and various fruit gardens, which are among the main draws of the urban farm.

Kebun Bandar@Cyberjaya opened in 2024 and offers a unique rural experience in the city centre through agriculture, farming and environmental education activities.
The around 4ha project houses four padi fields, vegetable and herb gardens, various local fruit species, and farm animals like ducks, geese and chickens.
To date, 400kg of the Mardi Siraj padi variety has been harvested from the farm, while more than 500 species of fruit trees, including rare species like sentul, tampoi, and sukun have been planted in the area.
Since it was opened to the public, the urban farm has received around 5,000 visitors and received international recognition for its unique concept.
As a GRS 2.0 adopted project, Kebun Bandar@Cyberjaya received RM500,000 to upgrade its natural 500m irrigation ecosystem, including by building a nature-based water filtration system, ecology pond, and irrigation water for crops and farm animals.

Earlier, Tengku Amir Shah visited the upgrading project under Bridge Data Centre at the Serin Residency surau in Cyberjaya.
Previously, state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail said GRS 2.0 would feature “adopted projects” involving new infrastructure, upgrades, and maintenance works, with a focus on facilities that require urgent fixes or building.
GRS, which was launched last year, aims to foster unity and social connections among Selangoreans.
