SHAH ALAM, June 3 — Selangor’s JobCare Carnival roadshow continues on June 13 at Dewan Seri Siantan in Gombak, featuring attractive segments like career counselling, a Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) registration counter, and health screening.
The 9am-5pm event, organised by the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), will also feature booths by various agencies including the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Social Welfare Department (JKM), Road Transport Department (JPJ), and National Registration Department (JPN).
Prospective applicants may attend the event smartly dressed and bring copies of their résumés and certificates for job interviews.
The state government is holding nine editions of the JobCare Carnival this year, having kicked off in Kuala Langat, to expand employment opportunities for Selangoreans with up to 4,000 jobs available.
The carnival comprises two main segments — JobCare Special and JobCare Premium.
When tabling the 2026 Selangor Budget last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the JobCare Carnival would be improved for this year, including with certification and skills development programmes.
Amirudin said RM1 million would be allocated for the job fair in an effort to address the unemployment rate.
