MBSA shuts down four unlicensed beauty centres in Setia Alam

SHAH ALAM, May 9 — Four beauty centre premises in Setia Alam were ordered to close after they were found operating without licences during an integrated enforcement operation by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and police last night.

The operation, conducted from 9pm to midnight, involved inspections of six premises around Jalan Prima Setia Alam, Section U13.

MBSA said that in addition to the closures, seizure action was taken against three premises for various licensing violations.

“Action was taken under the Beauty and Health Care Centre By-Laws (MBSA) 2013 for operating businesses without valid licences,” it said in a statement.

The operation was led by MBSA senior assistant director Zakaria Mat Piah, with the cooperation of several departments, including enforcement, licensing and the police.

According to MBSA, the firm action taken was aimed at curbing unlicensed premises and ensuring compliance with regulations for the safety and wellbeing of the public.

MBSA also warned that it would continue intensifying enforcement operations and would not compromise with any parties found violating regulations.
