SHAH ALAM, April 9 — Applications for the Selangor Preschool Aid Scheme (TUNAS) are still open, and parents and guardians are encouraged to submit requests to fund their children’s early education.
The initiative under Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS) targets children aged five and six from households earning RM5,000 or less a month.
Among TUNAS’ eligibility criteria are that applicants must be Selangor-born or Selangor residents, and are registered voters in the state, while their children must be enrolled in preschools recognised by the Education Ministry (MOE), Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), and Community Development Department (KEMAS).
Applicants must prepare documents including their children’s birth certificates, the MyKads of them and their spouses, Election Commission voter registration slip, and their latest payslips.
Preschool registration slips or fee receipts must also be submitted during the application, with all documents to be uploaded to the system. No physical documents are required to be sent to the YAWAS office.
Applications may be submitted online on the TUNAS website.
