GOMBAK, March 9 — The Platform Selangor (PLATS) Masuk Bazar programme, organised by Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (MBI), has recorded sales of approximately RM4.5 million as of March 7.
MBI foundation chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the sales figure came from 15 Ramadan bazaars participating in the programme, held in collaboration with Agrobank and local authorities.
“We have 15 bazaars in total. We track sales data through Agrobank QR codes, which visitors use to make payments. As of yesterday (March 7), total sales from these bazaars have exceeded RM4 million, approximately RM4.5 million,” he said after presenting Aidilfitri contributions to the Sungai Tua state constituency at Masjid At-Taqwa Selayang Baru.
Ahmad Azri added that the figures represent a significant increase compared with last year. The three highest-grossing bazaars were at Stadium Shah Alam (RM700,000), Taman Greenwood (RM400,000), and USJ 4.
“This is a remarkable growth from last year, possibly due to a higher number of bazaars and greater purchasing power among the public,” he said.

With Ramadan still underway, Ahmad Azri expects total sales from the programme to exceed RM8 million by the end of the month — double last year’s figure.
Earlier, entrepreneurship executive councillor Mohd Najwan Halimi said the PLATS Masuk Bazar programme will continue throughout Ramadan with an allocation of RM60,000. Selected bazaars will receive 300 digital vouchers worth RM10 each, distributed to visitors to help reduce their expenses.
