SHAH ALAM, March 3 — The Klang District Disaster Management Committee has issued an advisory in preparation for high tides expected from today to March 7.
According to an infographic by the Klang District Disaster Operations Centre (DDOC), sea levels are forecast to reach up to 5.2 metres tomorrow and the day after, at Port Klang station.
During this period, sea levels are expected to range between 4.8 and 5.2 metres, while rainfall is predicted in several areas tomorrow.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms are expected to affect most areas today, with similar conditions predicted in some areas on March 6.
Residents, especially those in low-lying or coastal areas, are advised to stay alert and prepare for possible hazards.
The advisory is based on data from the Malaysian Meteorological Department and the National Hydrography Centre.
