GOMBAK, Feb 25 — Local authorities, leaders and government agencies must cooperate well to ensure each plan and policy is coordinated effectively to fulfil the people’s needs, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He emphasised that the people’s trust is the administration’s most valuable asset as it is the basis of support, respect and confidence in every government decision.
“Today’s challenges are quite different from those 50 years ago, especially in facing people who are more open and the quick, uncertain communications landscape.
“We cannot move separately or according to our own zones and ways. If every department acts without coordination, the people would not see comprehensive solutions to issues like waste management, flooding, and community welfare,” he said at the Gombak parliamentary constituency fast-breaking event with government agencies and local leaders in Taman Seri Gombak tonight.
Over 400 guests were in attendance.

Amirudin emphasised that without integrity, honesty and sincerity in governance, an organisation would lose its credibility and the community’s respect.
“If there is no trust, whatever we do wouldn’t carry meaning. We mustn’t be full of ourselves or move on our own. An administration that fails to work as an effective team can crumble,” he said.
The Gombak MP urged all quarters to boost leadership, management and governance support and act as a quality team that benefits the people.
“We must start with an orderly, unified team. When the administration (makes) good change, the people will support (us),” he added.
During the event, Amirudin presented Aidilfitri money packets to about 30 orphans and Ihya Ramadan contributions to agencies in the Gombak parliamentary constituency as a symbol of support and attentiveness for the people.
