SHAH ALAM, Feb 16 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today said the Chinese Horse zodiac, which is a symbol of strength, agility and energy, should be exemplified to continue driving Selangor’s progress.
In his Chinese New Year address, he said the Year of the Horse in the Chinese lunar zodiac calendar reflects resilience and dynamic moves, in line with the state’s commitment to strengthen economic development for the people’s well-being.
“For Selangor this year, we will continue working to strengthen the state’s progress and prosperity, move more surely in economic aspects, and create quality jobs for the people’s well-being,” he said in a Facebook post.
Amirudin emphasised that Selangor’s diverse community is the state’s main strength that must be preserved.
He expressed hope that the people respect each other’s differences to defend the harmony we all enjoy.
He also said the state government has distributed Jom Shopping vouchers to help needy communities join in the festivities.
Amirudin also wished the Tionghua community in Selangor and nationwide a Happy Chinese New Year.
