SHAH ALAM, Oct 19 — The guidance of Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj continues to steer the state government in strengthening cooperation, preserving unity and prioritising the well-being of the people.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the Sultan's guidance was crucial to ensuring that Selangor's stability and harmony remained intact.
"His Royal Highness' guidance continues to serve as a guiding principle for the state government in strengthening cooperation, preserving unity and prioritising the people's well-being to ensure Selangor's continued stability and harmony," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.
Amirudin also described Sultan Sharafuddin's leadership and compassion, which have endeared him to the people throughout his 25-year reign, as a reflection of the close bond between the royal institution and the community.

He said the bond was evident at the Royal Tea Reception with the People, held at Padang Mahkota, Istana Alam Shah in Klang yesterday, in conjunction with the silver jubilee celebration of Sultan Sharafuddin's 25-year reign.
The event brought together people of different races and religions from four districts — Klang, Petaling, Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam — to celebrate the historic milestone in the state's history.
"This afternoon's gathering strengthens the bonds of affection between the royal institution and the people of Selangor, who come from diverse racial and religious backgrounds.
"This close relationship reflects the leadership and compassion of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, who has remained close to the hearts of the people throughout his 25-year reign," he said.

Amirudin also expressed his gratitude to Sultan Sharafuddin and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, for gracing the event.
Also in attendance were the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, and Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Dato' Abdul Aziz.
"May Allah SWT grant Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin long lives, good health and lasting well-being, along with the royal family, so that they may continue to watch over the people of Selangor," he said.
