SHAH ALAM, Jan 29 — Eleven notices were issued during the Selangor Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) special operation at a driving institute yesterday.
The department said the operation was conducted to ensure the institute complied with established rules and standards.
“A comprehensive inspection was conducted at this driving institute to ensure the vehicles they use are in good condition and are safe for lessons on the circuit and the road,” it said in a statement.
Besides vehicle inspections, Selangor JPJ also checked driving instructors to ensure they hold Driving Institute Instructor Certificates (SPIM).
“Twenty-five vehicles were checked in the operation and 11 notices were issued,” it said.
It reminded driving institutes to comply with regulations and provide the best service to driving learners, to produce drivers who are competent and disciplined on the road.
“Continuous enforcement will keep being implemented to ensure all driving institutes comply with the established regulations,” Selangor JPJ said.
