Petaling Jaya Mayor Dato’ Mohamad Zahri Samingon said this exceeds the target by 18.1 per cent, compared with MBPJ’s original RM29.18 million goal.
He said the council’s Entrepreneurship Development and Business Licensing Department also contributed to the figure by collecting RM2.16 million in plastic bag charges, in line with the city’s sustainability agenda.
“This achievement reflects a good compliance rate and the effectiveness of MBPJ’s management and enforcement,” Zahri said at the MBPJ monthly meeting today.
The council also contributed RM30.91 million from entertainment duties to the state government up to December 31, 2025.
“Overall, MBPJ managed to record a total revenue of RM67.54 million.
“This provides MBPJ’s ability to manage its revenue in an effective, sustainable manner with integrity,” Zahri said.
