150 Kinrara students get RM100 back-to-school aid

SHAH ALAM, Jan 11 — A total of 150 students from low-income families in Kinrara received RM100 each in cash aid to help with preparations for the upcoming school session.

The aid was distributed through the "Ceria Ke Sekolah" programme sponsored by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), which focuses on the welfare of students from the B40 group.

Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han said the assistance was disbursed directly to the families to help meet their children's schooling needs.

"This is to ensure they can purchase items like uniforms, shoes, and school bags," he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Ng also expressed his appreciation for the continued commitment shown by corporate bodies in supporting education and welfare efforts at the community level.

"This assistance may seem small in value, but it means a lot to families who need it."

Ng hopes the aid will reduce the financial burden of parents and offer encouragement to children ahead of the new session.

The Ceria Ke Sekolah programme is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort by TNB conducted in selected areas.
