SHAH ALAM, Jan 6 — Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin Hospital (HTPN) in Kajang is now more comfortable and safer following the completion of playground upgrades and road resurfacing works around the hospital, costing RM77,000.
Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan said the allocation was channelled through the Mesra Rakyat Project to enhance the experience of hospital visitors and patients, especially with the increase in footfall after the opening of the new women and children’s block.
He said the upgrade works included repairs and improvements to the children’s playground, repainting of existing equipment, as well as replacement of damaged flooring and roofing.
“In addition, road resurfacing works were carried out along routes around the hospital to ensure smoother and safer vehicle movement,” he was quoted as saying by StarMetro.
Syahredzan added that regular inspections will continue to ensure all upgraded facilities remain in good condition and safe for use.

In a related development, he said RM80,000 has also been allocated for the installation of solar street lights around the Bangi area.
Of the total, RM50,000 was used to install five solar lights along Jalan Semenyih, while another RM30,000 funded six units in Bangi Ramah, Desa Sri Bangi and Kampung Bahagia.
“The additional lighting is aimed at improving safety and visibility in residential areas,” he said.
Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) Zone 7 councillor Nor Zulaila Abd Ghani was also present during the site visit.
