KAJANG, Oct 2 — Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan's office has allocated RM283,580 under the Projek Mesra Rakyat initiative to upgrade infrastructure facilities at the Kajang Hospital, Flat Maju Satu, Sungai Jelok, and Jalan Semenyih.
Out of the total, RM77,000 was used to resurface roads, as well as repair the roof of Kajang Hospital's children's ward and upgrade its playground area.
RM156,580 was allocated to repair Flat Maju Satu's roof, while RM50,000 was used to install five solar-powered street lights along Jalan Semenyih.
“The upgrading works at the Kajang Hospital were carried out for the comfort of visitors, as its facilities are already ageing and it continuously receives large numbers of people.
"The solar lights along Jalan Semenyih were installed to create a brighter environment near the Kajang Health Clinic.

“The roof of Flat Maju Satu also needed replacement as it was already 30 years old. This project is the largest allocation from the Bangi constituency this year, and all works have been fully completed,” he said after an inspection visit today.
Syahredzan also hoped that the Federal government would increase allocations for infrastructure maintenance in Budget 2026 next week, given that Bangi has a high population density with over 700,000 registered voters.
“The Madani government is working to boost national revenue, among others, through the expansion of the Sales and Services Tax (SST), which is expected to raise up to RM8 billion, as well as the rationalisation of RON95 petrol subsidies estimated at between RM2.5 billion and RM4 billion.
“I am confident that various initiatives for the people, particularly the B40 and M40 groups, will be announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the tabling of Budget 2026 next Friday (October 10),” he said.
