SHAH ALAM, Jan 5 — More employment opportunities are set to be created in the Batu Tiga state constituency through the organisation of career festivals and job-matching programmes to be held more frequently throughout the year.
Its assemblyman, Danial Al-Rashid Haron, said the initiatives would be implemented through strategic collaborations with companies and factories in the Batu Tiga area, as well as with the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso).
He said the efforts are aimed at improving the quality of life of local residents, particularly by expanding job opportunities and strengthening workers’ welfare.
“For this year, I want to place special emphasis on employment as a foundation for improving quality of life, so that local residents can secure better jobs with fair wages and proper protection.
“At the same time, attention will also be given to gig economy workers to ensure they are covered under Perkeso schemes and enjoy stronger welfare protection,” he told Media Selangor.

Beyond employment, Danial said focus would also be placed on the future of young people, particularly in ensuring that Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers do not stop at secondary education.
“We will work to help them access pathways to further their studies, whether through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, colleges, universities or skills training programmes that match their interests and labour market needs.
“God willing, through this holistic approach, we want to ensure that development in Batu Tiga is not only physical in nature, but also delivers real impact on the lives of the people,” he said.
