King tells Cabinet to prioritise good governance, people’s well-being

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has advised Cabinet members to perform their duties with integrity and to prioritise the people’s interests.

His Majesty said the government must focus on the people’s well-being, country’s stability, and economic prosperity, in line with good governance principles.

Sultan Ibrahim emphasised the importance of teamwork among Cabinet members to ensure the country’s efficient and effective administration.

“Ministers and deputy ministers must always be on the field to listen to the voices of the people. You must perform duties entrusted to you with dedication and a high level of commitment,” His Majesty told the Royal Press Office (RPO) today.

Earlier, Sultan Ibrahim graced the swearing-in ceremony for new ministers and deputy ministers.

The ceremony was held at Istana Negara, and was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
