SHAH ALAM, Dec 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today said he will make a special announcement about the Cabinet today.
In a message posted across his social media accounts, he said the “Madani Government will always prioritise strengthening governance and improving implementation effectiveness for the people and country’s prosperity”.
Earlier today, Anwar was granted an audience with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at Istana Bukit Tunku in Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, Bernama reported that Anwar, who is also finance minister, stressed that the government is not planning a major reshuffle anytime soon, even when there are several vacancies.
Four ministerial posts stand empty — that of economy minister (previously held by Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, who resigned), natural resources and environmental sustainability minister (previously held by Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who resigned), entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister (previously held by Datuk Ewon Benedick, who resigned), and investment, trade and industry minister (previously held by Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, whose term as senator expired).
